Special Effects Video "Tilt Shifting"...

CONTENT COPIED FROM KIM KOMANDO'S WEB SITE

This video shows the power of post-processing. Keith Loutit is a master of a photographic technique called tilt-shift miniature faking. He makes real things look like photos of scale models.

Loutit carefully distorts the focus of his photos. He is able to simulate a shallow depth of field. This is an effect usually seen in macro photography. It makes the scene look small and model-like.

In this video, Loutit couples his skills with time-lapse photography. There is no trickery here. Everything you see is real. It’s just been processed with this tilt-shift technique. It’s a really cool use of technology.

Wow - isn't that cool? I would love to learn how to do this. Better start googling "tilt shifting"!
